Custom Tennis/Basketball Court for Home Dec 01, 2011

When the owners of this Washington home wanted to install a tennis/basketball court, their hilly property presented some unique challenges. To create enough space for a court, they needed to contend with a 20-ft. elevation change on the proposed site.

The biggest selling point of the Redi-Rock system was the ability to build the retaining walls without requiring geogrid.

U of Idaho Stadium Access Walls Nov 19, 2011

When the University of Idaho needed to create access to the lower elevation of the Kibbie Dome stadium, retaining walls nearly 20 feet tall were required.

“Gabion baskets are an older technology, and the newer way (Redi-Rock) won,” explained Scott Becker, engineer with Hodge and Associates.

Building a home on a hilly lot can be a challenge—and this Alabama house is a perfect example of making the most of a hilly lot.

“We basically used Redi-Rock to create the lot for this house. The grade changes were so severe that we needed some massive walls to create a level area around the house,” explained the builder.

Ledgestone Wall for Road and Street Construction Nov 09, 2011

The "before" photos of this project are not a pretty sight. A river running below this Washington road had undermined the base of the slope, while runoff had heavily eroded an extremely steep hillside above the road. "Between the hydraulics created by the hill on the back side and the river underneath it, half of Cline Road just washed out," explained local Redi-Rock manufacturer.Check out this case study

Once the spec is drafted it will be submitted to the Retaining Wall Committee for consideration.
